Privacy Policy

In short
- We collect your quiz answers and basic account details (first name, last name, email) to recommend padel rackets that suit you.
- A third-party AI reads your quiz answers only — never your name or email — to generate recommendations.
- We share data only with the providers that run the app (hosting, sign-in, email, optional analytics). We don't sell your data or track you across other apps or sites.
- Analytics are off by default. You can permanently delete your account and all your data in-app: Profile → Delete Account.
What we collect
- Quiz answers — your skill level, play style, weight preference, budget, and country or region, plus any injury areas you choose to share. Share only what you're comfortable with; we use it only to shape your recommendations.
- Account details — first name, last name, and email, plus your sign-in (email and password, or a supported single sign-on). If your sign-in masks your email, we may only ever receive a relay address.
- Product analytics — only if you turn them on: events about how you use the app (for example, screens viewed and features tapped), to help us improve it.
How we use it, and the AI engine
We use your data to generate and improve your racket recommendations. A third-party AI provider processes your quiz answers only — never your name, email, or account details. Recommendations are informational and meant to help you shop; they are not medical or professional advice (see our Terms). We also show live prices and stock from third-party retailers; when you buy, you tap through to the retailer's own site under their terms — What The Padel never sells anything itself.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of service providers and share only what each needs to do its job: a cloud hosting and database provider (which stores your account and quiz data on servers in the United States); an AI provider (quiz answers only, no name or email); an email provider; a single sign-on provider (only if you use it); and a product-analytics provider (only if you turn analytics on). They act on our instructions under agreements that limit them to serving us. We don't sell your data or share it for advertising.
Keeping and deleting your data
We keep your data for as long as you have an account. You can delete everything yourself — Profile → Delete Account — which permanently removes your quiz submissions, recommendations, profile, and account, and resets your analytics identity. Your data is stored and processed in the United States; if you use the app from elsewhere, your information is transferred there under appropriate safeguards. To unsubscribe from product emails, email hello@whatthepadel.app.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask to access, correct, delete, or receive a portable copy of your data, or to object to or restrict certain processing — and you can complain to your local data-protection authority. We rely on your consent (for example, analytics and sharing injury details), performance of the service you asked for, and our legitimate interests (keeping the app secure and improving it). We don't sell your personal data or share it for cross-context advertising, so California residents have nothing to opt out of on that front.
Children
What The Padel isn't directed at children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us their information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes and contact
